HomeRides - Tour de Trees

Tour de Trees -- October 17-18, 2026

NOTE: For the time being, Fall Fling and Tour de Trees are alternating, Fall Fling one year and Tour de Trees the next. 2026 is Tour de Trees.

Fall Bikes & TreesTour de Trees is held at Lake Eufaula in eastern Oklahoma, where we hope to see some fall color in the trees. It's about a 2-hour drive from OKC more or less depending on where you live in the metro area.

The starting time for Saturday is a fairly late 9:00 AM to give people time to drive there on the day of the ride. More than half the route uses rural roads with only local traffic. The more traveled roads, Highway 9, 69 and 266 all have wide shoulders. Sunday’s start time is usually a bit earlier since all participants are already in camp. The starting time will be announced Saturday night at the campfire.

The starting point both days is the Dogwood Campground. The Saturday long route is a 63-mile ride through Porum, Warner and Checotah, or a 66-mile route through Porum, across the dam and through Eufaula. Please note that the last time we held this ride, some riders commented that the traffic on HWY 9 and Hwy 69 was pretty heavy.  The short option is a 42-mile route that goes to Checotah and back (not the same as the Sunday route). There are usually quite a few riders who take that option.

We will be camping at Dogwood Campground. It has both RV and tent camping and showers. PLEASE NOTE: RV site reservations are required. Call 918-689-5311 from 8:00AM to 4:30PM for reservations.  All vehicles require a parking pass to stay overnight if you are not paying for a campsite. Call the same number for parking passes or stop at the park office to purchase one.

Saturday evening, we will experience once again the World Famous OBS Potluck Dinner at 6:00 PM. Bring a dish to contribute and don't forget something to serve your delectable delight if necessary. Everyone also please bring your own plates, bowls and eating utensils. And, don't forget your lawn chair or camp chair unless you want to stand up all the time.

The Sunday morning breakfast ride will most likely go to Sallies Cafe (716 W. Gentry). The Sunday route is an out/back, distance about 27 miles. If you don't feel like riding, you may drive to the restaurant and please reserve a table for us.
